"Worried about the plane? Then take the train..."


With many people starting to show their environmental concerns, this follows how it is possible to travel to your favourite skiing destination without resorting to taking the plane...

A website that aims to encourage and enable more skiers to travel to resorts by trains went online last week, and with trains to France, Austria and Switzerland we can see the possibilities...


Snowcarbon.co.uk gives a useful overview of the options, as well as strategies for finding the lowest fares available, and should be a must for any self conscious ski traveller this season...

"But I don't ski....."


As Europe and North America/Canada enter in to the period of winter for yet another year, we look at what is available for those who want the winter ski holiday without the winter ski...

From Whistler and Jasper to Val D'Isere and St. Anton, the worlds leading ski resorts are preparing themselves for the onset of another season. But what for those that don't ski? The downtrodden partner of the manic skier. The kids that never shared dad's enthusiasm for the piste. Those who "did it once" but now tire of it as a sport...
