"Fear and loathing at the World Travel Market..."

"Don't take any gumpf from these swine" were the words of my friend Gonzo (http://thegonzolecture.blogspot.com/) that flashed through my mind as I wandered into Excel to partake in the show called "The World Travel Market" today.....

A bonanza of various stalls from all corners of the globe were there to greet the weary travel coordinator, with various levels of success. Particular highlights of note included an oasis and falconry at the Abu Dhabi stand that had the crowds flocking to it....

With press pass in hand your intrepid reporter made time to mix with the laptop jockeying wordsmiths in the press lounge before moving to the galleries to help celebrate "WWT World Responsible Tourism Day" with particular note to the lecture "Making Better Places For People To Live," as hosted by Stephen Sackur of BBC fame....

All in all it was a good day at a world class and world leading event, and I would advise anyone that has not been to try and go tomorrow...

  1. Like the blog Bart. Yes its really sad how so many slaves to the corporate machine there are who operate using government money to further their own interest in the name of the common good. whenever I see them I just wanna throw up all over them and laugh raucously. It never ceases to amaze me how the worthiest of causes can be fast-tracked into the latest shallow money trench full of pimps and thieves.
